A talk given for Business Connect at Church House in St Helier, Jersey.

The State of Israel was formally established in 1948 with a Declaration of Independence and the population is 75% Jewish.  85% of the members of the United Nations recognise that state.  71% recognise a State of Palestine within the territory claimed by the State of Israel.

This is a brief survey of the sweep of the history of the people, kingdom and state of Israel, which highlights the differences between these 3 “Israels” and raises associated political, theological and justice questions for reflection and discussion.
